Goal setting was a phrase I used to hate to hear. I received it as if it were a command from the universe demanding that I do things I didn't want to do. It did not seem to me to be a tool to have the life I want. I'm glad that since then I have learned that if I want to build the life of my dreams, I have to set goals and take the actions necessary. The hardest thing for me is to be specific and to put dates on my goals. But as I've worked with goals over the past several years, I have learned that the more specific I am and if I try to decide when (how soon) do I want my life to be better, the more likely it is that I will put the effort into having what I want.
